We are a fast-paced family office managing high-end residential construction and facilities for our UHNW family. Our projects are complex, highly customized, and often run for several years and locations. We are seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to join our Design & Construction team. You will operate in an owner’s representative capacity, partner closely with internal stakeholders and external partnership (project managers, architects, general contractors) to drive successful project delivery.
This role requires a high degree of ownership, discretion, and attention to details, with the ability to both lead workstreams independently and support broader project execution. Projects are primarily domestic at this time and will require regular travel.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee a range of projects from smaller, specialized scopes to large-scale, multi-year residential construction projects and facilities
- Assist in ensuring alignment across internal stakeholders and external partners through the full project lifecycle
- Coordinate and drive communication between internal teams, architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure clarity, accountability, and progress
- Track and manage project milestones, budgets, and schedules, proactively identifying risks and driving resolution
- Review and oversee key project documentation, including contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Partner with the Director of Design & Construction to provide regular project updates, insights, and recommendations
- Ensure quality standards are met, with a strong focus on high-end finishes, execution, and detail
- Support project closeout documentation and activities, including turnover documentation, warranties, and operational readiness
- Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, safety requirements, and project-specific standards
- Operate as a versatile team member, able to shift between hands-on execution, coordination, and project leadership as needed
Skills & Work Requirements:
- 5–10+ years of experience in construction project management
- Experience in high-end residential, luxury hospitality, or complex commercial construction strongly preferred
- Experience working in an owner’s representative, client-side, or multi-stakeholder environment (not solely general contractor execution)
- Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documentation
- Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, and project deliverables
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- Clear, professional communication skills with the ability to navigate multiple stakeholders and priorities
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high level of accountability
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and construction/project management tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field preferred but not required
- Certifications such as PMP, LEED AP, or similar are a plus
Work Environment:
- Based in Redwood City, CA, with an expectation of 2–3 days per week in-office
- Regular presence at local properties as needed
- Requires frequent travel (up to ~50%) to support active construction projects across multiple locations
- This role requires flexibility to support both onsite project needs and in-office collaboration
