Senior Data Engineer, Global Data Products

Work with HelloFresh in Warsaw and its HelloTech organisation, HelloFresh’s global technology backbone with more than 1000 people, building the digital products that power our end-to-end food experience. About the role: What's in the Box

We are a cross-functional team that integrates data engineers and data analysts. Our objective is to establish a dependable groundwork for data-driven decision-making. This role holds significance across the organization, tasked with constructing foundational data assets and metrics.

As a Senior Data Engineer in Core Data Products, the focus is on collaborating to build robust and highly reliable data products using cutting-edge technologies (Snowflake, Databricks, DBT, Spark, Kafka etc). This involves working on the continuous improvement of current data processing workflows; whilst engaging with data producers and consumers to align business requirements with the roadmap.

What you’ll do: The Recipe

• Build and maintain complex and scalable ETL pipelines
• Work closely with the data producers and software developers
• Collaborate closely with different stakeholders such as Marketing, Product Analytics, etc.
• Drive data quality and governance 
• Work together with our cross-organizational data engineering chapter to adapt the latest tools and techniques to the needs of HelloFresh.

What you’ll bring: The Ingredients 

• Extensive experience of engineering fundamentals and able to design, implement and deliver maintainable and high-quality code
• Track record of delivering scalable, production-ready solutions 
• Mastery of SQL and query optimization techniques
• Strong problem-solving acumen 
• Proficiency in Python stack
• Exceptional technical background and a demonstrated clear impact on achieving business goals
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to build effective communication structures in a fast-growing engineering organization
• Extensive experience with Apache Spark or equivalent

• Demonstrated ability to use Generative AI tools (Copilot, Gemini, etc.) to accelerate data engineering tasks like scripting, query optimization, and documentation.
• A continuous-learning mindset with an active interest in how AI is reshaping modern data stacks and architectures.
