Senior Designer

YOUR ROLE:

RAPP is seeking a Senior Designer who combines exceptional design craft with a strategic
mindset to elevate creative work across platforms. In this role, you will lead the execution of
visually impactful designs, mentor junior designers, and collaborate with creative and cross-
functional teams to deliver innovative and cohesive campaigns. You will push boundaries, refine
design processes, and set the standard for design excellence.

o Comprehension: Thoughtfully interpret and refine creative briefs with a strong
understanding of design strategy and objectives.

o Ideation: Lead brainstorming sessions to develop visually compelling and inclusive design
concepts.

o Craft & Execution: Consistently deliver polished, high-quality designs that demonstrate
mastery of typography, layout, and composition.

o Iteration & Elevation: Provide multiple, well-considered solutions to design challenges and
refine work based on feedback.

o Directing & Managing: Confidently manage your workflow while mentoring junior designers
to produce their best work.

o Storytelling & Selling: Present your designs to internal teams and clients with confidence,
articulating the strategy behind your creative decisions.

o Business Contribution: Approach design challenges with a business-oriented mindset,
ensuring that creative solutions drive results for clients and the agency.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Lead the development and execution of creative designs that align with client goals andstrategies across platforms (digital, social, print, etc.).

o Collaborate with art directors, copywriters, and other creative team members to deliver
cohesive, impactful campaigns.

o Translate strategic objectives into visually compelling designs that adhere to brand
guidelines while pushing creative boundaries.

o Mentor junior designers, providing feedback and guidance to help them refine their craft
and grow their confidence.

o Present work to internal teams and clients with clarity and confidence, incorporating
feedback to refine the final product.

o Stay current with design trends, tools, and technologies, and proactively apply them to
enhance creative outcomes.

o Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing deadlines and priorities without
compromising quality.

o Refine and elevate the design process to ensure efficiency and consistency across all design
deliverables.

SUCCESS CRITERIA

o Delivery of visually compelling, high-quality designs that meet or exceed client expectations.

o Clear and effective communication with team members and clients, fostering collaboration
and trust.

o Consistent mentorship and support for junior designers, contributing to their growth and
development.

o Proactive exploration of design trends and tools to incorporate into creative solutions.

o Efficient management of deliverables, ensuring work is on time, on brand, and on brief..

SKILLS AND EXPERIE NCE

o Experience: 4+ years of design experience, with a portfolio showcasing produced work
across digital, print, and social media.

o Design Craft: Mastery of typography, layout, color theory, and composition, with
exceptional attention to detail.

o Technical Proficiency:

o Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

o Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch is a must.

o Experience with PowerPoint, Keynote, and Adobe Acrobat is a bonus.

o Curiosity about experimenting with AI tools and emerging design technologies.

o Leadership: Ability to mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative
environment.

o Communication: Confident and persuasive presentation skills, with the ability to articulate
ideas clearly to clients and internal teams.

o Adaptability: Thrive under pressure, manage competing priorities, and deliver exceptional
work in a fast-paced environment.
