The Corporate IT department is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead infrastructure automation, reliability, and scalability initiatives across our multi‑cloud, multi‑region environments. This position requires deep hands‑on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, containerization, and DevOps automation practices.
You’ll work in a dynamic and fast‑moving environment where priorities can shift quickly — flexibility, ownership, and problem‑solving under changing conditions are key to success.
Responsibilities:
✔️Cloud Infrastructure & Automation:
- Architect, deploy, and manage scalable environments in AWS and Azure within multi‑tenant, multi‑account structures.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps frameworks such as Flux.
✔️Kubernetes & Container Platform Operations:
- Operate and optimize Kubernetes clusters for security, scalability, and reliability.
- Manage components like Istio (service mesh), Kyverno (policy enforcement), Calico (networking and security), and Spegel (image distribution).
✔️CI/CD and Deployment Pipelines:
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent, automated delivery across development and production.
- Integrate container image lifecycle management and GitOps deployment workflows.
✔️Traffic Management & Load Balancing:
- Design and maintain traffic routing and service mesh configurations to achieve high availability and low latency.
- Support load balancing strategies for distributed and multi‑region applications.
✔️Security & Secret Management:
- Own secret management and identity integration using HashiCorp Vault and AWS Secrets Manager.
- Establish secure practices for secret distribution, access control, and auditing.
✔️Monitoring, Observability & Backups:
- Extend observability coverage with Prometheus, Grafana, and VictoriaMetrics.
- Ensure reliable backup, restore, and disaster recovery mechanisms for critical systems.
✔️Collaboration, Adaptability & Mentoring:
- Cooperate with other DevOps and system engineers to align workflows and support cross‑functional goals.
- Stay adaptable — priorities may shift rapidly as new critical initiatives arise.
- Share best practices, create technical documentation, and mentor teammates in DevOps culture and tools.
Role Requirements:
- 5+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
- Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes (operations, networking, policy, and automation).
- Expertise in Docker, Terraform, Ansible, and scripting (Bash, Python, or Go).
- Proven experience managing multi‑account or multi‑region AWS environments.
- Deep understanding of traffic routing, ingress, and service mesh (Istio, Envoy).
- Strong expertise with HashiCorp Vault and AWS Secrets Manager.
- Familiarity with GitOps principles (Flux, ArgoCD).
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and cross‑team collaboration skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment with shifting priorities.
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to FinOps and cost optimization in cloud environments.
- Experience with compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or Bicep/ARM templates.
