Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Fleet Control Software)

At Formlabs, software isn’t a side dish—it’s core to how we design, manufacture, and deliver world-class 3D printing products. Our Dashboard is the nervous system that connects printers, customers, data, and teams. We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to help own and evolve this platform from the ground up.

This is a high-ownership, high-impact role where you’ll shape architecture, ship meaningful features, and help define best practices as we scale.

The Job:

• Be a foundational engineer for the Dashboard and its backend infrastructure, influencing long-term technical direction.
• Design, build, and scale reliable, high-performance web applications using Python and Django at the core.
• Develop user-facing frontend features (React) and collaborate closely with Marketing and Design to deliver polished, intuitive experiences.
• Own projects end-to-end—from technical design and implementation to rollout and iteration.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, engineering standards, and best practices across the team.
• Balance speed and quality with a pragmatic mindset, always optimizing for long-term maintainability.

What you bring:

• A strong track record of building, shipping, and maintaining production web applications.
• Deep experience with Python/Django and modern frontend frameworks such as React.
• A primary-owner mentality: you take pride in your systems, sweat the details, and see projects through to completion.
• A high bar for code quality—clean, documented, testable, and readable.
• Comfort collaborating across disciplines, especially with Design, Marketing, and Engineering partners.
• The ability to thrive outside your comfort zone, quickly learning new tools and technologies as needed.

Bonus Skills:

• Familiarity with infrastructure and orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker, Go, Kafka, GCP, AWS etc.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Passion for 3D printing and emerging technologies
• Experience in a fast-growing startup environment
