About the Role
The Senior Manager, Federal Platform Operations is a senior, hands-on leader responsible for ensuring Keeper can be securely deployed and sustained across U.S. Government environments. This is a technical operations role first (DevOps/SRE/platform delivery mindset), paired with strong program execution to drive deployments, release readiness, and compliance and authorization support (FedRAMP/RMF and related frameworks), as well as sustainment processes required to operate in controlled and classified infrastructures. You will partner closely with Engineering, Security, Product, QA, Customer Success, and Federal Sales, plus government stakeholders and integrators, to ensure federal requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end operational delivery for Keeper’s U.S. Federal deployments, including planning, execution, cutover, sustainment, and continuous improvement across controlled environments (IL5, IL6, and classified networks)
- Serve as a hands-on technical lead for federal platform operations, driving deployment readiness, release processes, troubleshooting, and operational best practices in restricted environments
- Lead cross-functional execution to align Engineering, Security, Product, QA, and Customer Success to federal operational and compliance requirements
- Establish and maintain deployment standards, release gates, configuration baselines, and rollback procedures for federal environments
- Ensure products are fully tested, validated, and operationally ready prior to deployment into controlled government systems
- Own configuration management, patching cadence, change control, and sustainment processes for federal environments
- Lead authorization and compliance efforts supporting federal frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, RMF/NIST 800-53, DoD Cloud Computing SRG; ICD 503 as applicable)
- Oversee creation and maintenance of security artifacts, operational documentation, and continuous monitoring evidence required for authorization and ongoing operations
- Own operational risk management across federal deployments, ensuring alignment with government security directives, policies, and operational controls
- Coordinate with government security officers, approval authorities, system integrators/primes, and mission partners to support secure deployments and ongoing operations
- Drive operational metrics and reporting for reliability, readiness, incident trends, deployment performance, and compliance posture
- Lead critical customer-impacting investigations and incident response for federal environments, including postmortems and corrective action plans
- Provide player/coach leadership for a small team and/or matrixed contributors, focusing on execution and delivery outcomes
- Travel up to 25% of the time and attend Keeper-related events (locally and nationally)
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in technical operations, platform operations, DevOps/SRE, federal delivery, or government cybersecurity environments, including ownership of production delivery outcomes
- Experience deploying and sustaining secure software or enterprise systems in government enclaves, including IL5/IL6 and classified environments
- Strong familiarity with federal compliance and authorization frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, RMF/NIST 800-53, DoD Cloud Computing SRG; ICD 503 as applicable)
- Strong technical understanding of secure deployment practices, release management, configuration management, incident response, and operational controls in restricted environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and run complex delivery programs end-to-end (planning, execution, risk management, reporting)
- Experience working with government employees, integrators, primes, or contractors supporting high-security programs
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to drive alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) clearance; SCI is not required for this role
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Keeper is FedRAMP authorized; therefore all applicants must be a U.S. Person
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting DoD or civilian agencies with high-security requirements (IL5/IL6, classified)
- Experience standing up or operating continuous monitoring programs and audit-ready evidence processes
- Background in zero-trust architectures, identity and access management, privileged access management, or secrets management
- Experience with observability practices (metrics, logs, tracing) and incident response coordination in restricted environments

7. Retention
We keep your data for 24 months from your last application activity, then delete or anonymize it.
Exceptions:
- You opt into our talent database for further retention by providing consent (extended retention)
- You're hired (transfers to employee records)
