Team mission

Since 2020, GetYourGuide has established a Machine Learning (ML) Platform team, providing the tools and best practices to help the Data Products team build and maintain production-ready ML/AI systems. The team's mission is to enable our diverse teams and ML/AI use-cases via self-service tools and automation. More recently the team was renamed as AI Platform Team as a way to better reflect our ambition to become an AI-first organization.

As a Senior MLOps Engineer, you'll join our AI Platform Team and have a chance to make an enormous impact across all of our data products. You'll work closely with our Data Products teams to build systems that enable ML/AI algorithms to go to production. Your mission:

• You'll design and implement systems and tools for scalable and more efficient machine learning solutions.
• You will work to increase the amount of data products in production reliably, reduce the time to production, and reduce operational costs.
• You'll be partnering/collaborating with product teams to bring advanced algorithms into production, following MLOps best practices.

Your toolkit:

• Software Engineering: You have strong fundamentals in Computer Science and a polyglot mindset. Python is your language of choice; you are able to migrate between various programming languages though. Delivering clean code and investigating new tools, languages, and practices is your passion.
• Data Engineering: previous experience in organizing and querying data at scale data warehouses, tools like Spark are not novelty for you
• Data Science & MLOps: Data Scientists are close stakeholders for you. You share a genuine interest in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and are proficient in applying MLOps best practices as scale.
• Business Experience: You possess the ability to prioritize and manage stakeholders; they know you for your good communication and collaboration skills. 
• Vision: Your ideas turn into reliable and maintainable code. A track record of outcome-driven work gives evidence of this. You are experienced in operating at scale; you have a cloud DevOps / infrastructure mindset.
• Autonomy: Your mindset can be described as autonomous, proactive and customer-oriented. You own your projects.
• Teamwork: You strongly believe that a team is more than the sum of its members. Mentoring and sharing knowledge are fulfilling activities for you.
