As a Senior Software Engineer at Guardz, you will be part of one of our R&D group and take ownership of product capabilities from idea to production. Our engineers work across the stack and are responsible for building reliable, scalable systems while also delivering high-quality user-facing functionality.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and launch product capabilities that directly impact service providers and small businesses
• Take end-to-end ownership of features, including requirements discussions, technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and iteration in production
• Work across the stack to deliver complete solutions, with a strong focus on building scalable, maintainable systems
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, designers, and fellow engineers to achieve business goals
• Ensure high code quality through automation, best practices, and thoughtful code reviews
• Continuously improve system reliability, performance, and team productivity by evolving our architecture, tooling, and development practices
• Contribute to the team’s technical direction and help raise the overall engineering bar

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer working on production systems
• Proven experience building and operating cloud-based, distributed applications
• Strong proficiency in modern software development, advantage working with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js
• Experience working across different parts of the system, including APIs, data stores, and user-facing components
• Hands-on experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and Redis, and experience with message queues and distributed architectures
• Experience with modern CI/CD practices and production monitoring
• Product-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership
• Agile practitioner who values collaboration, fast feedback loops, and continuous improvement
