Information about the position 

People Strategic Initiatives team tackles cross-functional organisational challenges of critical importance and drives People strategy planning and implementation. 

We’re now looking for a Senior People Strategic Initiatives Manager to drive end-to-end project delivery in partnership with our Director of People, Strategy & Analytics. We are looking for someone who is not only adept at classic project management, but also able to take a hands-on approach to driving initiatives forward. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation and a track record of implementing creative solutions to complex problems.

In your first few months with us, you may launch new international offices, support the cultural integration of an M&A target into Vinted or drive People team operating model development, aimed at operational excellence and efficiency. In this position, you’ll 

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of key strategic initiatives, including defining scope, designing solutions, setting timelines and budget, overseeing implementation
  • Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives
  • Drive adoption of new initiatives through effective communication, and change management
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improving organisational health, building the team’s agenda of challenges to tackle
  • Champion high-quality, high-impact project management and change management delivery in the People department and beyond

About you 

  • Considerable experience in management consulting, organisational development, or business/HR strategy with a keen interest in human-capital topics
  • A proven record of successfully driving complex cross-functional initiatives
  • Commercial/strategic acumen and operational savviness. You think big picture but can easily zoom in on the detail and take ownership to drive tasks to a successful conclusion
  • A collaborative attitude and solid skills in stakeholder management. You will need to bring a diverse set of stakeholders (from all levels in the organisation) on a journey with you. So the more resourceful you are, the better
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving mindset. You can simplify complexity by identifying and measuring the problem, finding the root cause, coming up with solutions, and assessing the best course of action
  • You use data to support your analysis and decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate the need for change, creating clarity where there may be confusion, and ensuring all stakeholders are bought into the why and how
  • Excited about driving projects in a fast-paced environment, comfortable with a high level of context-switching and ambiguity. 
  • Excellent written and spoken English
