Senior Talent & Leadership Development Specialist

West Monroe is seeking a Senior Specialist to join the Talent & Leadership Development (TLD) team, with a primary focus on supporting and scaling West Monroe’s AI Academy. This role partners closely with the TLD Senior Manager to deliver high-impact learning offerings, including AI Academy programs and broader internal initiatives, and works with internal stakeholders to build the next generation of AI-enabled leaders and practitioners across the firm. 

Key Responsibilities 

Strategy & Needs Assessment 

  • Conduct needs assessments to identify AI and leadership capability gaps and develop recommendations with implications for learning strategy, operations, and budget. 
  • Act as a thought partner to internal clients and practice leaders, building sponsorship and aligning learning initiatives to firm strategy and capability priorities. 
  • Support the governance and evolution of AI Academy and broader TLD offerings to ensure alignment with business objectives. 

Design & Development 

  • Partner with SMEs, faculty, and leaders to define learner outcomes and translate AI, data, and technology concepts into scalable learning experiences. 
  • Own learning development projects end-to-end, including project planning, risk identification and mitigation, and stakeholder management up to executive-level sponsors. 
  • Create and curate learning assets including curriculum, e-learning, professional development materials, toolkits, and communications. 
  • Recommend and implement updates to learning content based on learner feedback, business needs, and emerging AI trends. 

Delivery & Facilitation 

  • Deliver and facilitate learning experiences, both in-person and virtual, ranging from interactive workshops to cohort-based programs and leadership sessions. 

Measurement & Impact 

  • Lead analysis and reporting of learning effectiveness, experience metrics, and business impact indicators, leveraging qualitative and quantitative data to enhance program quality and inform strategic decisions. 
  • Design clear, compelling reports and presentations that communicate insights and outcomes in alignment with West Monroe brand and style standards. 

Required Education and Work Experience 

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree desired; advanced degree in a related field (e.g., Organizational Development, Learning Sciences, Business, or Technology) preferred. 
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in talent development, learning design, or organizational development. 
  • Experience supporting or designing AI, data, or emerging technology learning programs (formal or informal). 
  • Experience working in a professional services or consulting environment preferred. 

Learning & Technical Expertise 

  • Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, needs assessment, instructional design, and eLearning methodologies. 
  • Experience creating diverse learning resources such as job aids, facilitator guides, participant materials, and digital content. 
  • Experience facilitating learning experiences for small and large audiences, both virtually and in person. 
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools in day-to-day work, modeling effective, responsible, and value-driven AI adoption. 

Project Leadership & Stakeholder Skills 

  • Proven project management experience, including project planning, risk identification, and stakeholder management. 
  • Ability to build strong relationships, influence stakeholders, and navigate ambiguity in a matrixed environment. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex concepts clearly. 

Execution & Operating Style 

  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong prioritization and organizational skills. 
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities. 
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards. 

Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role is listed below. Information on our competitive total rewards package, including our bonus structure and benefits is here. Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.

Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Eligibility for ten weeks of paid parental leave will also be available upon hire date.
