We are looking for a Visual Designer with experience in Lean and Design Thinking, as well as proficiency in Spanish and English, to lead the creation of high-fidelity digital products and branding.
Job responsibilities
- You will play an active role in the delivery and design of technology projects that transform how our clients work while developing new digital products and services, focusing on visual excellence.
- You will collaborate with small, cross-functional teams to create a wide range of experience design deliverables including journey maps, service blueprints, roadmaps, prototypes, and design systems.
- You will facilitate workshops, develop unique design strategies for products and take part in making strategic decisions at the portfolio level.
- You will work behind the scenes to apply various research methods such as context analysis, moderated interviews, experiments, user tests, and usability testing.
- You will set up inspiring design hypotheses for delivery teams that consist of both Thoughtworkers and our customers using Figma and Prompt Engineering.
- You will ensure that project scope, risks and updates are regularly assessed and communicated through close dialogue with developers.
- You will balance client and Thoughtworker expectations by clearly communicating experience design deliverables such as typography, branding, and iconography.
- You will extend your expertise to teammates by supporting less-experienced designers when possible in visual communication and design principles.
- You will advocate experience design expertise to the broader community outside of Thoughtworks, speaking at conferences, webinars, and meetups about visual interface design.
Job qualifications
Technical Skills
- You're well versed in all things experience design with specialities in at least three additional areas such as visual interface design, branding, design systems, native mobile design, or typography.
- You are proficient in creating high-fidelity prototypes and responsive layouts using Figma, ensuring seamless design adaptation across Web and Mobile platforms.
- You embrace Lean principles to iterate rapidly on visual solutions, minimizing waste and focusing on high-value outcomes.
- You apply Design Thinking methodologies to uncover user needs and define visual strategies.
- You are an experienced storyteller able to clearly present your research methods and it's findings to your stakeholders.
- You're comfortable leading and advising research activities on experience design projects, employing different methods such as usability testing, user research, and data visualization.
- You have expertise in Figma for creating scalable digital products and complex component libraries.
- You demonstrate knowledge in Prompt Engineering to optimize the creative process and generative design workflows.
- You have the ability to dialog with developers to ensure technical feasibility and high-fidelity implementation of visual assets.
- You apply accessibility principles (WCAG) to ensure all visual communications and products are inclusive.
Professional Skills
- You possess advanced Spanish and at least Upper-Intermediate English skills to navigate global projects and multicultural environments.
- You bring an inspiring, unique approach to product design and love facilitating client brainstorms and internal sessions with your team.
- You're happy to design solo or collaborate with designers/developers to create a wide range of experience design deliverables.
- You understand the importance of stakeholder management and can easily liaise between clients and other key stakeholders throughout projects, ensuring buy-in and gaining trust along the way.
- You have a knack for communicating and defining project roles to your design teammates with the ability to build confidence in others.
- You have a passion for contributing to the growing experience design community at Thoughtworks through peer reviews, ensuring consistency in the quality of design.

Remote work for this position is permissible, provided the employee is located within Ecuador.
