Job Title: Service Desk Team Lead 

Location: Edinburgh Hybrid 

Working Pattern: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm 

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

THE TEAM

 

As the Service Desk Team Lead, you’ll work alongside Infrastructure, Cyber, Applications and our Service Desk Teams to keep GoFibre running smoothly. Leading a team of Service Desk Analysts, you’ll guide daily operations, support BAU activity, and act as the senior escalation point for more complex issues.

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON

  • Leading, mentoring and supporting our Service Desk Analysts, including managing escalations and ensuring high-quality BAU activity
  • Overseeing Azure, M365, Intune, IAM and MDM/endpoint lifecycle across devices and applications
  • Ensuring security best practice is applied across access, permissions, policies and incident response activity
  • Overseeing office IT operations, hardware provisioning, refresh cycles and asset management
  • Handling vendor relationships, licensing, renewals and contributing to budgeting and forecasting
  • Manage Jira usage, documentation and ITIL aligned processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency and continuous improvement

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

 

  • Previous experience leading and developing a high performing service desk team
  • Solid experience in Azure, M365, Intune/MDM and identity & access management 
  • Understanding of 1st–3rd line technical support, BAU operations and effective incident management
  • A proactive security mindset, ensuring least‑privilege principles and secure user workflows
  • Excellent decision‑making and prioritisation abilities, plus a structured approach to processes and continuous improvement
