SPS Global is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Associate to support on-site logistics and mail operations in El Paso, Texas. This role is responsible for coordinating shipping, receiving, mail services, and warehouse functions while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate has experience working in a warehouse or mail facility environment, demonstrates strong technical proficiency, and thrives in a fast-paced, operationally focused setting.
The Shipping and Receiving Associate supports mail, freight, and logistics operations by managing inbound and outbound shipments, coordinating loading dock activities, and ensuring accurate tracking and documentation of materials.
This role requires cross-functional flexibility, supporting multiple service lines including route coverage, freight coordination, mail services, logistics troubleshooting, and customer service functions. The associate must remain adaptable and ready to support evolving operational needs.
Reports To:
Client Services Supervisor, Client Services Manager, or equivalent leadership
Manage inbound and outbound shipments, including freight coordination and dock operations
Track shipments using logistics software and ensure accurate documentation
Support mail services, route coverage, and receiving operations
Maintain accurate records within scheduling, tracking, and database systems
Troubleshoot issues related to tracking software, secure lockers, and logistics technology
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support waste, secure waste, and eWaste programs (as applicable)
Operate material handling equipment including forklifts (where applicable), pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Perform loading and unloading activities on docks
Maintain organized and safe warehouse conditions
Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures
Deliver high-level customer service to employees and stakeholders
Respond promptly to emails, texts, and phone calls with urgency and professionalism
Communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the organization
Remain flexible to support all required site functions including float coverage
Provide accurate summaries and updates related to logistics activities
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a mail facility, warehouse, or similar logistics environment
Valid driver’s license (must be at least 25 years of age to meet fleet insurance requirements)
Strong computer proficiency, including:
Scheduling/calendar software
Logistics tracking software (BearTracks experience a plus)
Database software
Excel or Numbers
Word or Pages
Material handling experience
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and reaching above shoulder height
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
Ability to work in varied weather conditions in warehouse or dock environments
Forklift certification (where applicable)
Experience troubleshooting logistics technology and tracking systems
Prior experience supporting freight coordination and dock operations
Superior communication skills
Sense of urgency and responsiveness
Operational accuracy and attention to detail
Technical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
Flexibility and adaptability
Strong customer service orientation
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
