About this role

At NiCE, we don’t limit our challenges. We challenge our limits. Always. We’re ambitious. We’re game changers. And we play to win. We set the highest standards and execute beyond them. And if you’re like us, we can offer you the ultimate career opportunity that will light a fire within you.

So, what’s the role all about?

As a Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation and reliability solutions that support the stability and performance of our data platforms within our Azure SaaS environment. You will work closely with Platform Engineering, SRE, Cloud Operations, and R&D teams to implement tools and frameworks that ensure seamless scaling, proactive monitoring, and self-healing of data services.

Your mission is to bridge the gap between database engineering and site reliability, ensuring our cloud-native offerings are resilient, secure, and capable of efficient development on a scale.

How will you make an impact?

  • Own availability, reliability, scalability, and performance of production and non‑production database platforms.
  • Design, operate, and optimize DynamoDB, AWS RDS (PostgreSQL), Aurora, and Amazon OpenSearch environments.
  • Implement and automate backup, restore, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Lead investigation and resolution of database‑related incidents and contribute to post‑incident reviews.
  • Partner with Platform Engineering and SRE to define standards and best practices for database lifecycle management.
  • Enable secure and scalable self‑service data platform workflows for application teams.
  • Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and query optimization.
  • Build and maintain observability for data platforms using metrics, logs, and alerting.
  • Automate provisioning and operations using Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and data governance requirements.

Have you got what it takes?

  • AWS (RDS, Aurora, IAM, Networking, Monitoring)
  • PostgreSQL
  • Amazon OpenSearch
  • Time‑series databases
  • Kubernetes (EKS)
  • Terraform / OpenTofu
  • Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry
  • CI/CD and GitOps pipelines

You will have an advantage if you also have:

  • Knowledge of OpenSearch or similar search technologies.
  • Background in time‑series data platforms.
  • Experience working in regulated or compliance‑driven environments.
  • Kubernetes‑native database operation experience.
  • CI/CD skills
  • AWS experience

What’s in it for you?

At NiCE Actimize, you will work on mission‑critical platforms that protect the global financial system. You will be part of a strong Platform Engineering organization focused on automation, reliability, and developer experience, with opportunities to grow technically and professionally while making real‑world impact.
