Senior Compliance Lawyer

We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Compliance Lawyer to collaborate closely with the Head of Compliance in executing a robust corporate compliance program. If you’re passionate about regulatory excellence, risk management, and shaping business strategy while protecting brand integrity, this role is for you.

Challenges that await you:

  • Monitor, analyze, and interpret the evolving regulatory framework applicable to the financial industry.
  • Stay up to date on regulatory developments and advise the business on their impact on current and proposed activities.
  • Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of personal data protection systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection laws, including the management of data subject rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction).
  • Contribute to corporate governance initiatives, including ethics programs, anti-bribery frameworks, and compliance training.
  • Support internal and external reviews and audits, with a particular focus on ESG standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Compliance to identify, assess, and mitigate regulatory and compliance risks.
  • Promote a people-focused and ownership-driven culture, encouraging accountability and ethical behavior.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure compliance is embedded across all business processes.

What makes you a great fit:

  • 7+ years of experience in compliance and regulatory law, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Proven background in managing financial regulatory frameworks and compliance programs.
  • Strong alignment with values of integrity, transparency, accountability, and ethics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus).
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • High attention to detail and a structured approach to complex legal matters.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to regulatory changes and evolving business priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence and partner across teams.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience supporting ESG-related compliance initiatives.
  • Exposure to international regulatory frameworks or cross-border compliance matters.
  • Experience leading or mentoring junior compliance team members.
  • Background working in fast-paced fintech or technology-driven environments.
