Summary:  

The Sr. Specialist, Materials Management, is responsible for sourcing and selecting global suppliers to enhance cost efficiency and support the company’s overall competitiveness. This role oversees the raw materials and customs processes. Acting as a key liaison between U.S. operations and headquarters in South Korea, the specialist will also be responsible for facilitating communication and translating purchasing-related documents to ensure alignment across both regions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and provide weekly, monthly, and annual reports to leadership and headquarters
  • Analyze and maintain open communication regarding purchasing forecasts across various vendors
  • Review supplier inquiries related to payment status, invoices, data accuracy, and budget compliance, and ensure proper follow-up and adherence to process standards
  • Communicate feedback on purchasing processes to both headquarters and internal teams
  • Monitor and disseminate policy updates from headquarters to the purchasing team to ensure alignment
  • Lead the standardization of systems and continuous process improvement across global teams (headquarters, Poland, China, and others), ensuring compliance within the U.S. operation
  • Review and analyze new project contracts, focusing on risk assessment, documentation accuracy, and proper registration in the system
  • Collaborate with the legal department to ensure contracts are reviewed and approved as required
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) annually, including metrics such as supplier negotiation rates and purchase order issuance. Set targets in line with global benchmarks and monitor monthly progress
  • Monitor purchase order due dates and closure timelines to ensure on-time delivery
  • Compile and categorize monthly purchasing data, share insights with internal teams, and report findings to headquarters
  • Conduct annual supplier evaluations by category to support strategic sourcing and performance management
  • Perform Layered Process Audits (LPA) in designated areas to ensure procedural compliance and process integrity
  • Maintain cleanliness at the worksite in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
    - 5S : Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
    - 3R : Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in materials management or procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in general business, business administration, supply chain, logistics, engineering or related field required
  • Experience in orders/settlements/contracts for outsourcing construction

  • Good capability to use MS-office
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting
  • Knowledge in global sourcing skills, negotiations and bargaining
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support related teams and work with headquarters and other global sites
  • Ability to travel domestic and internationally
