About the role
As a Strategic Procurement Manager (m/f/d), you’ll own and scale ARX’s strategic and operational purchasing across hardware, electronics, and system components as part of the Procurement team. You will secure our supply chain for high-stakes defense production, drive cost optimisation, and shape our supplier ecosystem across Germany, the UK, Ukraine and beyond. Your work enables ARX to deliver mission-critical systems fast, reliably, and at scale.
To join our team, you should be excited to:
- Lead all procurement activities across direct (hardware, electronics, components) or indirect spend
- Build and manage supplier relationships with a focus on reliability, compliance, and cost-efficiency
- Own negotiation, contracting, and performance management with key vendors and strategic partners
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Legal, and Finance to align supply chain with product roadmap
- Ensure full compliance with defense, export control, and dual-use procurement regulations
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, drive localization and resilience across Europe
- Implement procurement KPIs, ERP integration, and scalable sourcing processes
Your Profile
- 5+ years of procurement experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, or electronics is a strong advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with SAP is a strong advantage
- Proven ability to build supplier networks and negotiate under pressure
- Strong commercial mindset combined with operational grit
- Comfortable working in a startup-paced, cross-border environment
- Experience with EU tender law, dual-use goods, and military supply chains is a plus
- Fluent in English; German is a strong plus
- High attention to detail, ownership mindset, and a drive to deliver
