The Opportunity:

The Strategic Sourcing Manager will evaluate local business opportunities to expand the parts and accessories portfolio through strategic outsourcing and third-party partnerships. This position focuses on identifying US-based vendors to fill product gaps, ensuring a full line-up for major appliances and consumer electronics. The role is responsible for the end-to-end vendor lifecycle—from discovery and contract negotiation to supply stability—acting as the primary interface between external suppliers and internal stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, and SCM.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Vendor Discovery: Conduct market research to identify new local outsourcing opportunities and alternative suppliers to complete the product line-up.
  • Sourcing & Contract Management: Lead all supplier-associated activities, including RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations to secure favorable pricing and terms.
  • Local Portfolio Development: Source and introduce third-party parts and accessories to the US market, ensuring they meet LG’s quality and brand standards.
  • Pricing & Cost Management: Establish procurement pricing strategies and manage vendor-side costs (Invoicing, RRP, and MSRP alignment) to ensure project profitability.
  • Supplier Lifecycle & Compliance: Manage the entire supplier lifecycle, including performance monitoring, quality compliance, and risk mitigation for local vendors.
  • Operations & SCM Coordination: Coordinate with SCM and Sales teams to forecast demand for outsourced goods and ensure consistent inventory levels.

Education / Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing, vendor management, or procurement (experience in appliance/electronics parts preferred).
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong capability to lead complex negotiations with external vendors and manage contract lifecycles.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to drive multiple sourcing projects simultaneously by coordinating with internal Sales, Marketing, and Quality teams.
  • Data Analysis: Excellent data-analysis skills with a strong knowledge of quantitative data interpretation for cost and pricing analysis.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive critical thinking and a positive attitude toward resolving supply chain bottlenecks or vendor issues.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Experience with data visualization software (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio) is a plus.
  • System Knowledge: Experience in ERP systems (SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence preferred).
