Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Production Supervisor to lead and oversee daily operations across the Media Blast, Heat Treat, and Bandsaw. This role is critical to ensuring production targets are met with the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration, strong people skills, accountability, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 

The Role

  • Supervise daily operations across multiple manufacturing areas including Media Blast, Heat Treat, and Bandsaw.  
  • Drive accountability through effective coaching, performance feedback, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Lead a team of skilled technicians and leads to ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Plan and allocate resources (labor, equipment, and materials) to meet short- and long-term production goals.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot process issues, working closely with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to minimize downtime and optimize throughput.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineers and Quality Engineers to implement process improvements, resolve technical issues, and support design-for-manufacturability initiatives.
  • Drive accountability through effective coaching, performance feedback, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of production activities, downtime tracking, and maintenance logs.
  • Participate in capital planning and facilities upgrades to improve area capacity and capability (5S). 
  • Promote a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace in accordance with 5S and lean manufacturing practices.

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
  • Demonstrated success in a hands-on manufacturing role in a fast-paced aerospace/automotive manufacturing or production environment.
  • Demonstrated success in a people leadership or supervisory role, with direct responsibility for coaching and performance management.
  • Comfortable working on the production floor and supporting technicians hands-on as needed.
  • Comfortable using ERP and MES systems; experience with production tracking tools preferred.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to interface effectively with engineering, production, and quality teams.
  • Experience working within regulated quality systems (ISO, AS, or customer-specific requirements).
  • Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced engineering and production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with post processing or heat treat technologies.  
  • Experience in a Machine Shop
  • Experience with design for manufacture and product development life cycle
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Background in lean or 6 sigma principles.

Work Environment

  • Performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery
  • Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling of precision tools and materials.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. independently and 50 lbs. with assistance.
  • May involve crouching, climbing, confined spaces, or work at heights.
  • PPE (including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, respirators as needed) and company uniform are required.
  • May occasionally require extended or weekend hours to meet production deadlines.
  • This role operates in a fast-paced, high-mix production environment where priorities can shift rapidly based on engineering changes, supply chain constraints, and program milestones. The environment demands tight cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, quality, logistics, and program teams to ensure daily execution aligns with long-term build plans.
  • Success in this environment requires hands-on engagement on the shop floor, strong systems knowledge, and the ability to anticipate and resolve scheduling risks before they impact key deliverables.

Pay Range
$116,420—$160,080 USD
