Outline of the Job
As the Supply Chain Quality Engineer, you will be the key technical interface between the supply chain and SkyDrive on Quality matters. The core accountabilities of this role include structured problem solving, Non-conformance management & Drive Zero Defects at suppliers.
- Be the first point of contact with regards to Quality issues in the supply chain
- Ensure conformity of products provided by the supply base. Monitor and address deficiencies in Supplier Performance. Ensure that disposition of nonconforming material is handled in a timely manner to support internal MRB processes. This includes issuance and timely resolution of supplier corrective action reports and closure of nonconformance issues (CAPA).
- Execution of non-conformance material handling, Return to vendor process, Supplier Corrective action report (CAPA), Supplier performance reporting and Supplier receiving Inspection plans and Inspection results.
- Proactively manage supply base issues, coordinating the development of systematic RCCA (Root cause Corrective Action).
- Handling Containment of products resulting
- Process / operational responsibility to support QN disposition, support MRB disposition.
- Support deployment of policies, procedures and standards for supplier Quality management that meet AS9100 requirements, including supplier selection and purchase order quality flow down requirements.
You must be open to traveling up to 25% of the time domestically/internationally.
Team Mission
As part of the Supply chain Management function, Supply chain Quality engineer interacts with suppliers and Internal QA / MRB team. The role primarily Drive Zero Defects within Supply Chain by improving Quality of products delivered to SkyDrive.
Essential Skills
- Experience in Quality / Operations / supply chain management, working with suppliers in a fast-paced, highly technical and regulated environment.
- Experience in AS9100, AS9102 deploying procedures.
- Hands on experience in GD&T, PFMEA, MSA, Control plan, FAI, and PPAP
- Experience on Aero structure / Systems / Components.
- Ability for Structured Problem Resolution (root cause analysis / corrective action) and working knowledge on 8D.
- Experienced in eliminating Non-Conformance at the supplier level / implementation of 8D at supplier.

s the Supply Chain Engineer, you will be the key technical interface between the supply chain and SkyDrive developing stable and capable processes through deployment of advanced product quality planning tools such as PFMEA and PPAP. The core accountabilities of this role include design for manufacture, process capability improvement, technical liaison, structured problem solving and value improvement for a given mix of suppliers.
- By proactively identifying and working with the relevant stakeholders in addressing and resolving risks which would impact stable and capable production
- Be the first point of contact with regards to technical issues in the supply chain
- Work with the aircraft assembly line and the supplier to improve part design for assembly activities
- Support the incorporation of new products by ensuring suppliers are executing agreed development plans
- Ensure there is sufficient capability in the supply chain
- Support supplier capability assessment and development
- Support management of Skydrive owned tooling at suppliers
- Manage implementation of manufacturing and engineering change requests
- Review Suppliers FAI, PPAPs and Inspection plans.
Team Mission
The Supply Chain Engineering team develops stable and capable processes in the supply chain by coordinating closely between the supplier and the various related groups such as Engineering and Strategic Procurement. The Supply Chain Engineering team is part of the Supply Chain Management function.
Essential Skills
- Experience in supply chain management, working with suppliers in a fast paced, highly technical and regulated environment.
- Experience in production/manufacturing engineering and APQP
- Hands on experience in GD&T, PFMEA, MSA, Control plan, FAI and PPAP
- Experience on Aircraft Systems / Aircraft structure / Assembly / Machining process and Process improvement
- Working knowledge on AS9100, AS9102 and AS9145
- Experience in Manufacturing Change Control
- Ability for Structured Problem Resolution (root cause analysis / corrective action) and working knowledge on 8D.
Desirable Skills
- Business Japanese and English, Native English / Business Japanese

- 6sigma Green Belt
- Self-starter, able to self-motivate and complete tasks with limited supervision.

Working Hours

Salary
- Annual salary paid in 12 monthly installments (including fixed overtime allowance)
