Tahoe Water Team Boat Captain, Seasonal

Essential Duties

  • Licensed Boat Captain, experienced in captaining wake boats and outboard vessels
  • Safety deckhand and equipment handler
  • Provide white glove professional service while maintaining a natural and comfortable environment 
  • Follow Team SOP’s to ensure proper equipment is in place to support daily activities
  • Assemble, prep, maintain and administer use of various water equipment 
  • Prep, assemble and install equipment accordingly 
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly equipment maintenance  
  • Maintain integrity and organization of equipment, vessels, and vehicles 
  • Responsible for on-going maintenance projects such as upkeeping gear & assembling equipment 
  • Prep, clean, assemble and break down all gear pre and post seasons 
  • Diligently fill out daily logs utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets 
  • Follow Team SOP’s and EAP’s and contribute to continuous efforts in generating improved standards of operations. 
  • Instructor/Water Safety guide for water activities serving adults, youth, and children  
  • Preferred: Skilled instructor in various water sports such as, but not limited to the following: wakeboarding, SUP, paddling, foiling, etc. for both adults and kids
  • Other duties as assigned by the Water Activities & Safety Manager or Team Leads

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Lifeguard and/or ocean safety rescue certified 
  • CPR & First Aid certified 
  • CA Boaters License 
  • Licensed and experienced Boat Captain
  • Preferred: EMT certification
  • Preferred: 5+ years of first responder experience in the public or private sector 
  • Preferred: 1-2 seasons of experience as a W10 Tahoe Waterman 
  • Responsible for maintaining up to date certifications and training certifications
  • Attends continuing education for water safety training and/or CPR and first aid training provided by organiziation
Salary Range
$70—$75 USD
