Job Summary: At LG Energy Solution Arizona, Inc., the Team (Crew) Leader, Quality Assurance (QA) mentors and supports inspection operators within the assigned production area to ensure quality procedures and inspection standards are consistently followed. This role works closely with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to address production issues, maintain accurate quality documentation, and ensure proper handling of nonconforming materials. Through hands-on guidance and reinforcement of established procedures, the Crew Leader helps maintain safe, efficient inspection operations and supports continuous improvement in product quality.

Report To: Supervisor, Quality Assurance

Responsibilities: 
• Maintain laboratory and testing equipment and train operators on proper use of inspection and measurement equipment, including Optical Measurement Machines, Karl Fischer Titration systems, and Universal Testing Machines.
• Guide and coordinate the daily activities of inspection operators to ensure inspection tasks are completed according to established procedures, quality standards, and work instructions.
• Train and mentor operators on procedures, equipment use, and quality expectations within the assigned production area and shift.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality Assurance to address production issues and assist with implementation of Out of Control Action Plans (OCAPs).
• Complete and maintain accurate inspection documentation and records in accordance with quality system requirements.
• Manage non-conforming materials following the MRB (Material Review Board) process, including identification, containment, and documentation.
• Respond to process or equipment issues by performing initial checks and escalating concerns to engineering or quality leadership when needed.
• Support product quality activities such as process checks, audits, and verification tasks within the inspection area.
• Maintain inspection area organization and cleanliness in accordance with 5S3R standards (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain; Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container).

Qualifications:
• At least 3 years' experience in a production role in a manufacturing facility, operating automated or semi-automated equipment.
• Knowledge and experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S and 6-Sigma.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and troubleshoot production equipment or process issues and implement short- to mid-term solutions to maintain production.
• Experience with quality control charts and data interpretation.
• Experience in powder handling, chemical batch processing, mixing, roll-winding and material conveyance, a plus.
• Proven ability to work independently and be a self-driven contributor with minimal supervision.
• Physically able to lift 25 lbs unassisted, stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces.
• Ability to work overtime, as required.
• Ability to travel, including overseas, as required.

Skills:
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence and teach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Sound judgment on when to escalate issues to management or engineering for support.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment, with ability to perform time-sensitive analysis and problem-solving.
