The VIPR Fraud Insights Team Lead manages a high-impact team of eight associates focused on mitigating large-scale fraud trends. As a TL, you guide and oversee investigations, coach associates, and ensure operational excellence while delivering actionable insights. You partner with key stakeholders, including Strategy & Operations, to drive containment and long-term solutions for emerging fraudulent behaviors. Your role balances hands-on investigative expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring the team delivers quality results efficiently.
VIPR operates Monday–Friday, 5 days a week, from 7:00 AM MST to 3:30 PM MST. In-office attendance is required bi-weekly on the first and third Thursdays of the month, with flexibility determined by business needs.
The team supports Consumer (Cx), Dasher (Dx), and Merchant (Mx) workflows, allowing for cross-functional coverage and broad investigative impact.
As the VIPR Team Lead, your day-to-day responsibilities include managing team capacity, distributing workload, and providing guidance on complex investigations. You act as the primary escalation point for operational or investigative issues, coach associates through challenging cases, and conduct root cause analyses to identify and mitigate operational inefficiencies.
You will leverage SQL and other analytical tools to review trends, join datasets, and validate investigative insights. Your responsibilities include overseeing the creation of containment solutions, queues, and process improvements while presenting findings to Strategy & Operations partners in forums such as the New Vectors Weekly.
You will provide ongoing mentorship and knowledge transfer to associates, hosting 1:1s, team meetings, and side-by-side training sessions. You ensure your team develops expertise, understands emerging trends, and consistently delivers accurate insights.
