Tech Manager (Engineering) – Performance & Platform Excellence
How will you make an impact?
- Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team focused on performance, scalability, and reliability across the platform.
- Define and drive a performance engineering strategy adopted across multiple product teams.
- Manage a center of excellence, setting standards, frameworks, and governance for performance testing and scalability.
- Lead evolution of performance testing frameworks and tooling (JMeter, BlazeMeter, Gatling, or equivalent).
- Lead the development of AI-enabled testing and analysis capabilities to improve efficiency, insight, and coverage.
- Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines, enabling early detection and prevention of production issues.
- Partner with architecture, product, and engineering teams to identify risks and influence system design for scale.
- Enable teams with production-like testing environments, tooling, and data strategies.
- Provide clear visibility into performance health, risks, and roadmap progress.
Have you got what it takes?
- 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams in complex, distributed environments.
- Strong hands-on background in Java or C# (.NET).
- Proven experience in performance engineering, including load, stress, and scalability testing.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as JMeter, BlazeMeter, Gatling, or similar.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and system bottlenecks.
- Experience integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
- Experience applying or experimenting with AI/LLM-based tools to improve engineering workflows.
- Ability to lead at both strategic and execution levels.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus).
- Experience building internal platforms or shared frameworks.
- Experience driving adoption of engineering standards across teams.
