About this role

About us

Lightricks is an AI-first company with a mission to bridge the gap between imagination and creation. At our core is LTX-2, an open-source generative video model, built to deliver expressive, high-fidelity video at unmatched speed. It powers both our own products and a growing ecosystem of partners through API integration.

Our flagship products include Facetune and LTX Studio, used by hundreds of millions of users worldwide. We combine deep research, user-first design, and end-to-end execution to bring the future of expression to all.

About the program

This program places students directly inside Lightricks' engineering teams, working at the frontier of AI and creative technology with the same tools, standards, and ownership as full-time engineers. The code you write ships to production.

The program launches full-time in August- three months before the academic year, and continues part-time (2–3 days per week) throughout the academic year.

What you’ll be doing

  • Work embedded within Lightricks' engineering teams, using the same advanced AI development tools as the rest of the team.
  • Develop and ship production-level code to products used by hundreds of millions of people — this is not a sandbox environment.
  • Take genuine ownership across all phases of product development: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, and champion engineering best practices across the team.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve software quality, tooling, and processes.

Your skills and experience

  • Active student in a Computer Science or Computer Engineering program with at least one academic year remaining until graduation.
  • Strong academic record, with grades of +90 or above in core courses including Object-Oriented Programming, Operating Systems, Data Structures, Algorithms, and Introduction to Machine Learning.
  • Solid coding skills in at least one object-oriented programming language.
  • Actively uses AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude).
  • Intellectually curious, a fast learner, and eager to grow alongside a world-class engineering team.
  • Prior development experience is a plus.
  • Preference given to students pursuing a combined degree with Mathematics, Physics, or another exact science.
  • Available to work full-time from August through October, and 2–3 days per week during the following academic year.

Why Join Us
