Job Title & Role Description:
The Technology Business Analyst serves as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, including IT Operations, Project Management, and QA/Change Management - to ensure technology solutions align with organizational objectives. This role is responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, designing efficient workflows, and supporting the implementation of technology initiatives that drive operational excellence and improve patient care. The analyst collaborates closely with IT Operations, clinical teams, and business units to translate business needs into actionable technical specifications, ensuring timely and successful delivery of projects that enhance both system performance and user experience.
Core Responsibilities:
- Business & Process Analysis

- Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs through interviews, workshops, and analysis.
- Document clear, concise functional and non‑functional requirements.
- Map current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend process enhancements or automation opportunities.
- Technology & Financial Coordination

- Coordinate technology-related financial operations including invoice routing, spend tracking, and vendor/contract record maintenance.
- Serve as a liaison between internal tech owners, Finance, and vendors to resolve billing questions, support renewals, and maintain organized communication.
- Solution Support & Collaboration

- Translate business requirements into actionable inputs for technical teams.
- Ensure proposed solutions align with business goals and operational needs.
- Collaborate with PM, QA, and Change/Release teams to support smooth project execution.
- Documentation & Knowledge Management

- Create and maintain business requirement documents, user stories, use cases, and process flows.
- Use platforms such as Visio, Jira, and Confluence for documentation and tracking.
- Testing & Validation Support

- Assist with UAT preparation and execution by clarifying requirements and validating that solutions meet business needs.
- Support data and functionality checks ahead of deployment.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Change Support

- Facilitate communication between business units and technology teams to ensure shared understanding.
- Provide materials and support that help users adapt to new processes or systems.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a technology-driven environment.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering and documentation techniques.
- Familiarity with system integration, SQL, APIs, and data workflows.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies (Agile preferred).
- Knowledge of healthcare technology systems and compliance standards (HIPAA).
