About the role

The Media Activation team is responsible for executing high-quality media campaigns across Search, Social, Display, and Video channels. The team translates media strategy into execution, ensures strong in-channel performance, and continuously identifies opportunities for optimization and innovation.

As a Media Activation Manager, you will oversee campaign delivery, performance optimization, and day-to-day client collaboration while mentoring junior team members. You will play a key role in ensuring campaigns launch smoothly, perform effectively, and generate actionable insights for future planning.

Some of the things you’ll do:

  • Translate client requirements and media strategies into clear activation briefs
  • Manage campaign execution across biddable and performance channels, ensuring on-time launch and delivery
  • Monitor campaign pacing, performance, and optimization opportunities to achieve campaign objectives
  • Provide strategic and tactical recommendations to improve campaign performance
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, acting as a channel specialist and trusted partner
  • Lead campaign reporting and contribute insights for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews
  • Develop and execute structured testing plans to improve channel performance
  • Identify opportunities to improve activation processes, campaign structures, and media best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including planning, analytics, ad operations, and data teams
  • Manage and mentor 1–2 junior team members, supporting task delegation and skill development

A bit about yourself: 

  • 3–5+ years of experience in digital media activation within an agency or performance marketing environment
  • Strong hands-on expertise in at least one major platform (Search, Social, Programmatic Display, or Video) with understanding of cross-channel activation
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple campaigns end-to-end, from launch to performance optimization and reporting
  • Strong understanding of media planning fundamentals including reach, frequency, formats, and channel roles across the marketing funnel
  • Excellent knowledge of campaign optimization levers and testing methodologies
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and actionable recommendations
  • High attention to detail in campaign monitoring, including pacing and performance tracking
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including planning, analytics, and ad operations
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior team members
  • Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities
  • Proactive mindset with interest in innovation, testing, and improving activation best practices
  • Fluency in Japanese and English
